About the role:
The Learning Designer designs and develops blended e-learning resources to support the Teaching Innovations team and Box Hill Institute Group (BHI Group) schools. The Learning Designer ensures sound educational design of innovative, engaging, and effective blended learning courseware, assessment material and learning technologies. This role is required to support growth and diversity in the offering of BHI Group qualifications/units and to cater for delivery in-house, online, or off-site.
The Learning Designer is a member of the Education Design team in Teaching Innovations. This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the BHI Group and liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including teachers, operations managers, subject matter experts, commercial clients and industry partners.
Your skills and experience
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Written communication: Ensures written communications contain necessary information to achieve their purpose; provides advice on the content and style appropriate for audience; conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way.
Computer Skills: Able to use both common and job-specific software applications and features proficiently for a variety of more complex work tasks; assists others with problem-solving computer issues related to work tasks where requested; able to create content within Learning Management Systems; is comfortable using/learning rapid authoring software such as H5P.
Creativity and Innovation: Draws on a range of sources to actively generate new ideas and ways of doing things; reflects on experience and is open to new ways to improve practice.
You will need to provide or be willing to obtain a current National Police Records Check, a Working with Children Check, evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia, and certified copies of your qualifications.
