The Wellbeing Officer provides a range of welfare monitoring and intervention support to ensure the success of BHI students, as well as working closely to support stakeholders including teachers, students, and other team members to achieve outcomes across educational excellence and retention and support of students.

2. Program Delivery: Ability to proactively promote and implement a range of student or client support strategies in a complex organisational context, and a sound understanding and ability to meet legal, ethical, professional and policy requirements involved in the delivery of education and support programs to young students.

3. Administration Skills: High standard of verbal and written communication, and the ability to organise information, maintain and manage student records and reporting, and proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office programs. Capacity to work well under pressure with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and accommodate flexible hours.

About the role:

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for leading the provision of high-quality financial services, including external financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury, asset management, purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

The Senior Financial Accountant has a strong internal and operational focus to provide BHI with relevant, reliable and timely financial services with responsibility for BHI and its controlled entities’ external financial reporting. The position provides expertise in all aspects of government financial reporting, taxation, treasury and compliance.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in commerce and/or accounting and experience in a similar role

• CPA/CA accreditation.

Expertise

1. Financial Reporting – Extensive, relevant experience in a similar financial role and current knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and other applicable financial reporting requirements.

2. Financial Management – Extensive experience at management level in the finance and accounting field including experience in the management of financial resources and project management of significant projects. Demonstrated experience in projecting accurate financial calculations and preparing analysis and advice for Executive approval.

3. Financial Consultancy – Proven knowledge and skills including the ability to provide sound advice and guidance to managers and employees on a broad range of finance and accounting issues.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The teacher, Plumbing provides professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners, the organisations that employ them and the communities they serve.

This position focuses on excellence in learner support, teaching delivery and learning assessment.

The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Plumbing and works to promote educational excellence, business growth and student centred services for the Plumbing team.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
• Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles
• Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements
• Enhance the student experience to improve engagement early on and assist learners to interact with their academic and social environment to prevent attrition and encourage success
• Liaise with key stakeholders such as employers, schools and other education providers to explore pathway options for learners as required
• Understand market and industry needs and develop responsive, innovative educational solutions for learners, including fee for service clients
• Ensure high quality, up to date and relevant teaching delivery, assessment and student engagement strategies to support learner success and contribute to the achievement of shared Institute goals
• Undertake professional development to ensure vocational and educational currency is up to date

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or qualifications that meet the ASQA Standards (Applicants without these qualifications encouraged to make enquires)
• Vocational plumbing qualifications at AQF level 3 or higher
• Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
• Registration with relevant Industry organisation
• A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
• A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
• Desirable Diploma in VET Practice
• Advanced literacy and numeracy skills relevant to the position
